ASTA Legislative Day policies

  • Since we only have a short window during which to schedule your Congressional appointments, we ask that you make every attempt to stay in D.C. past 5:00 p.m. on the day of event. Should you choose to leave before 5:00 p.m., ASTA will not be responsible for rescheduling any meetings that are scheduled for after your departure.
  • Because Congressional appointments can and do change up until the last minute, your final schedule will not be available until the day before or the day of the event. ASTA cannot provide a final schedule in advance of the event, but will provide a preliminary schedule a few days before the event.
  • ASTA will schedule all appointments with your Congressional delegation. To minimize confusion, do not schedule your own Congressional appointments or contact any legislative office directly regarding your appointments. ASTA is coordinating a large number of meetings and we want to keep confusion to a minimum.
