Vietnam 2020 ASTA Educational Journey

Day 1, May 13 – Welcome to Hanoi 

Morning - We welcome you to Hanoi, Vietnam at the Noi Bai International Airport, where you will be greeted by a tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check in. For those arriving in the morning, you have the option to enjoy a half day city tour which includes visits to the West Lake and Tan Quoc Pagoda and Temple of Literature. 
  • West Lake & Trấn Quốc Pagoda: Trấn Quốc Pagoda is the oldest of its kind in Hanoi, originally constructed in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Lý Nam Đế, thus giving it an age of more than 1,450 years
  • Temple of Literature: The temple was built in 1070 at the time of Emperor Lý Thánh Tông. It is one of several temples in Vietnam which is dedicated to Confucius, sages and scholars
18:00 - In the evening, you will then enjoy a special Welcome Dinner hosted by the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA).

20:30 - Return to hotel and overnight at a 5-star hotel in Hanoi

Vietnam 2020 ASTA Educational Journey

Day 2, May 14 – VITM 2020 0 Hanoi City Tour

Today will be a mix of business and sightseeing with a visit the Vietnam International Travel Market (VITM). See below for a detailed agenda of your day.

Morning: 
8:00 am-9:00 am:  Attending VITM Hanoi 2020 opening ceremony
9:00 am-9:45 am: Walk the exhibition halls with VIP members
10:00 am-11:30 am: Depart for Hanoi City Tour 
- One Pillar Pagoda: Pne of the most meaningful symbols of Hanoi and has one of the most special architecture in Vietnam.
- Ho Chi Minh Square: Where President Ho read the Declaration of Independence, established the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Guests also visit Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House and Presidential Palace
Lunch: Lunch (Vietnamese cuisine specialties)
11:30 am-13:00 pm: Enjoy the Vietnam traditionally cuisine, presented & cooked by the chefs from Vietnam Chef Association (VICA)
Afternoon: Continue Sightseeing Tours
Vietnam Museum of Ethnology: where visitors will have a fast look at 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam and its history
- Hoan Kiem Lake: a lake in the historical center of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The lake is one of the major scenic spots in the city and serves as a focal point for its public life.
 - Ngoc Son Temple: Meaning 'Temple of the Jade Mountain', Hanoi's most visited temple sits on a small island in the northern part of Hoan Kiem Lake, connected to the lakeshore by an elegant scarlet bridge, constructed in classical Vietnamese style
Old quarter of Hanoi by Cyclo: comprised of 36 streets known for their specialties on each one
Evening: Dinner at local restaurant and enjoy a water puppet show at the theater. Overnight at 5-star hotel in Hanoi.

Day 3,  May 15 – B2B Day in Hanoi

Attend VITM Hanoi 2020.

Morning: 8:30 -11:30: Attend the presentation of Vietnam Tourism at Sol Melia Hotel Hanoi
Lunch
Afternoon: 13:30-18:30: Attend business matching sessions with local travel advisors and hotels
Evening: 18:30-20:30: Gala Dinner at hotel and overnight at 5-star hotel in Hanoi

Days 4 - 5, May 16 & 17 – Ninh Binh or Ha Long Bay

For day 4 and 5, we will be split into two groups to explore the hidden gem of Ninh Binh or Ha Long Bay. 

Group 1 - Day 1
Morning:  8:00 am Depart for Ninh Binh
 - Upon arrival, you will visit Văn Lâm Embroidery Village: a traditional embroidery craft village, located in Ninh Hai commune, Ninh Binh province. Lace embroidery here is told to have claimed its existence for around 800 years dated back to Trần dynasty 
Afternoon: Lunch at local restaurant.
- Take a boat trip around Trang An Landscape Complex: Certified as UNESCO World Heritage, known for its magnificent scenery with a complex system of river, mountains and caves
 - Bai Dinh Pagoda: considered as one of the largest complex of Buddhist temples in Vietnam and has become a popular site for Buddhist pilgrimages from across Vietnam
- Return to hotel for check-in 
Evening: 18:00: Attend a business matching session with local travel advisors and hotels in Ninh Binh and enjoy a Gala Dinner.
Overnight at 4-star hotel in Ninh Binh

Group 1 - Day 2

Morning:  Breakfast at hotel then depart for Ha Long Bay
- Upon arrival to Ha Long wharf, boarding and cruising to enjoy the famous UNESCO World Heritage – Ha Long Bay
Afternoon: Lunch is served on boat
17.00: return to the wharf and transfer to hotel for check-in
Evening: 18.00: attend the Business Matching with local travel agents and hotels in Quang Ninh province and the Gala Dinner

Overnight at 5-star hotel in Ha Long city


Group 2 - Day 1

Morning: 08.00: depart for Ha Long Bay
- Upon arrival to Ha Long wharf, boarding and cruising to enjoy the famous UNESCO World Heritage – Ha Long Bay
Afternoon: Lunch is served on boat
17.00: return to the wharf and transfer to hotel for check-in
Evening: 18.00: attend the Business Matching with local travel agents and hotels in Quang Ninh province and the Gala Dinner
Overnight at 5-star hotel in Ha Long city

Group 2 - Day 2

Day 6, May 18 – Hanoi to Da Nang

Today we will be traveling by air to Da Nang.

Morning: Breakfast at hotel. Check out and return to Hanoi.
Upon arrival in Hanoi, transfer to Noi Bai International Airport (Domestic station). Flight to Da Nang.
Tour guide welcomes at Da Nang International Airport, transfer to have lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon: Sightseeing tours
- The Museum of Cham Sculpture: dedicated to this period and the Champa existence which began predominantly in the coastal areas of Vietnam
- Linh Ung pagoda: listed in Danang must-see destinations
- Han market: a significant landmark in Da Nang, having been in operation since the French occupancy in the 1940s.  
Evening: Attend the Business Matching with local travel agents and hotels in Da Nang and the Gala Dinner.

Days 7 - 8, May 19 & 20 – Hue or Hoi An & Ba Na Hill

- Option 1: Discover the World Heritage Sites in the central of Vietnam with Hue, ancient capital of Vietnam under Nguyễn’s dynasty and Champa’s culture
- Option 2: Discover the culture and nature beauty of the central of Vietnam (Hoi An ancient town, Ba Na Hill and the beaches)

Day 9, May 21 – Da Nang & Ho Chi Minh City

Morning: Breakfast at hotel. Check out and transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh city.
Afternoon: Tour guide welcomes at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and transfer to enjoy city tour.
- Reunification Palace: a rich and varied history and once served as the base of the US-backed Vietnamese General Ngo Dinh Diem during the Vietnam War, until his assassination in 1963. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue the city tour.
- Central Post Office: is a beautifully preserved remnant of French colonial times and perhaps the grandest post office in all of Southeast Asia. 
- Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon: Established by French colonists who initially named it Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Saïgon, the cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880 and all the original building materials were imported from France. 
- War Remnants Museum: offers a shocking reminder of the long and brutal Vietnam War, with many graphic photographs and American military equipment on display, including a helicopter with rocket launchers, a tank, a fighter plane, a single-seater attack aircraft and a 6,800kg conventional bomb.
- Sightseeing and photographing at China town, Thienhau pagoda
Evening: 18.00: attend the Business Matching with local travel advisors and hotels in HCMC and the Gala Dinner

Days 10 - 11, May 22 & 23 – Ho Chi Minh City & Surrounding Provinces

Morning: Breakfast at hotel and check out. 

Optional tours:
- Option 1: Discover the Mekong Delta with floating life style, floating villages and the fruit orchards. (transportation by bus, boat)  
- Option 2: Discover the Western architectures in the highland (Da Lat city and the Highland culture) (transportation by flight, bus)  
- Option 3: Discover the resort-beach and the Champa’s culture in the Southern (Nha Trang city) (transportation by flight, boat)

In the afternoon on 10 Apr, return to Ho Chi Minh city
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at 5-star hotel in HCMC

May 24 - Departure

Transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for departing flight (depend on departing flight of the Buyer – pleased kindly inform us in advance)
