Special Presentation by Royal Caribbean International

Just like the political system, the cruise industry is filled with competition, change, new consumers and challenges. She will discuss the political seascape, consumer opportunities and how travel partners contribute to the success of the Royal Caribbean each and every day.
Consumer Awareness and the Travel Agent with Jack MacKenzie, Executive Vice President, PSB Research and Adam Gerchick, Project Manager, PSB Research
Hear firsthand and exclusively, ASTA’s commissioned research results regarding consumer perceptions. You’ll learn about travelers’ motivations, concerns - and sometimes even fears - when it comes to planning travel; their perceptions regarding our industry and suppliers; and their view on travel regulations as well. Most intriguingly, you’ll hear the consumer’s perception of travel agents; what information is key to persuade them to consider an agent; and their take on the term “travel agent” itself. Lastly, you’ll come away understanding the factors that are influencing travelers now: do they intend to take more or fewer trips this year; what could alter their intended frequency of travel; and what methods and modes consumers use to obtain travel information and advice today. This session is not to be missed!

Special Presentation by AIG - Travel Guard Insurance
Travel can be a risky thing, and as these risks continue to evolve, it is possible to encounter disruptions, such as unexpected travel problems, medical emergencies or security incidents. In addition, the global security environment has escalated in recent years, especially with increase in cyber risks and the rise in terrorist attacks in areas that were previously considered less prone to such attacks. As a result, there is an increased obligation for travelers to navigate the world of global travel with a new level of sophistication by avoiding financial liability and managing unexpected travel emergencies. Travel insurance has recognized the security needs now affecting our travelers and have the ability to mobilize a network of support teams to respond to minor incidents or life-threatening events 24/7/365. With a wide array of travel insurance products and assistance services, travel insurance plans offer travelers access to personal security assistance services in addition to the core assistance services we have come to know such as emergency medical assistance, travel assistance and concierge services.
